The Keeper of the Coffee

This is a simplistic parable of leading with love.

In 2018, I was directing a show.

My assistant arrived and immediately asked if I wanted a coffee.

Confused, I looked at him and said "You are so much more than a coffee runner. Never forget that."

If you want to cultivate a community of great, empowered leaders, practice this message. The hierarchal days of yesteryear's coffee demands are no longer relevant.

Leaders can bring the coffee.

Leaders can serve the meal.

And, when people gather at our table, we can invite them to share their authentic selves, creating a more productive and collaborative environment for all.
